Teenager Curtis Jones has been handed his first Champions League start for Liverpool's opening Group D match against Ajax in Amsterdam.
The 19-year-old was one of four changes from Saturday's Merseyside draw with Everton, three of those enforced due to injuries to Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara.
Joe Gomez came into central defence, where he was joined by midfielder Fabinho, with James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum lining up alongside Jones across the middle.
