Livestream Captures Lava Fountain From Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano

Livestream video captured active lava from Hawaii’s Kilauea in lower Puna, Hawaii, on May 27. The lava fountains in the lower east rift zone are up to 150 feet high, according to the USGS.

The Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency said residents should avoid the area due to the increase of volcanic gases and vog emissions in areas downwind of the vents. Credit: Honolulu Civil Beat via Storyful
