A number of local Lloyds Bank and Halifax branches are set to close. They are among 60 set to shut their doors between October this year and June next year.

Lloyds Banking Group has confirmed that it is closing 28 Lloyds Bank branches while 17 Halifax locations will see their doors shut and 15 Bank of Scotland branches, according to a BirminghamLive report. This is because the firm said that the use of the locations had fallen by an average of 52% to 68% over the last five years.

Among those set to close are three Warwickshire Lloyds Bank branches - Warwick Kenilworth and Alcester, and another three Warwickshire Halifax branches - Rugby, Evesham and Stratford. There are no Coventry locations on the to close list.
