Logan Lucky trailer: Daniel Craig is worlds away from James Bond in new Steven Soderbergh heist thriller

Logan Lucky marks Steven Soderbergh's return to filmmaking and the first trailer proves he's maintained his madcap panache showcased in previous films Out of Sight, Ocean's Eleven and Magic Mike.

Channing Tatum has reunited with the Haywire and Side Effects filmmaker, leading the charge as Jimmy, one-third of a trio setting out to execute a robbery during the Coca-Cola 600 race.

Riley Keough and Adam Driver also star as Jimmy's siblings while it's Daniel Craig who seems to be the film's scene-stealer as Joe Bang, an incarcerated felon who is worlds apart from James Bond.

The all-star cast is rounded out by Seth MacFarlane, Katie Holmes, Hilary Swank, Sebastian Stan and Alien: Covenant star Katharine Waterston.

Logan Lucky is Soderbergh's first film release since 2013, having since overseen TV projects The Knick and The Girlfriend Experience.

The film will be released 18 August.
