Gone are the days when dining out was all about quality of food and atmosphere.

Of course, these are still the cornerstones of eating and drinking but now there’s a new factor to consider: how photogenic is the space. Here are the places where you won’t be able to resist getting snap happy and playing with your filters.

Palm Vaults

With its swathes of baby pink, floral-topped tables and foliage-filled hanging baskets, this Hackney café could well be London’s most Instagrammable. That’s before even getting started on the beetroot lattes.

Sketch

The pink walls lined with David Shrigley at Sketch’s Gallery restaurant are a gift to the Insta set. It also comes complete with what may the capital’s wackiest loos.

Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings

This Clerkenwell hotspot looks like it has leapt from the pages of an interior design magazine, with mismatched furniture, numerous art pieces and foliage galore. The avocado-heavy brunch dishes provide more photo fodder.

Dandelyan

Both the cocktails and the furnishings at this Bankside bar from Ryan Chetiyawardana are worthy of a few snaps. And then there’s the view out over the river, too.
