A WORCESTERSHIRE garden centre has been named in The Telegraph's top ten ranking for garden furniture stores across the country.

The national newspaper described Holloways as the 'best upmarket garden store' in the UK and a 'hidden Worcestershire secret'.

Owned by Diana and Edward Holloway, the store is based just outside Worcester in the picturesque village of Suckley.

Mrs Holloway said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be in The Telegraph’s top 10 UK garden stores.

"It’s fabulous to be recognised by such a prestigious national newspaper."

Holloways has particular appeal because of its range of reclaimed and antique furniture pieces, which are dotted across the store's showrooms and courtyards.

she added: "The antiques business was set up by Edward more than 35 years ago, and still today he goes all over the country to seek out unusual pieces for the store at auctions, farm sales and at private house sales.

"Our team goes through a painstaking process to repair and restore these pieces before they go on display in our courtyards and online.

"There’s always something different and inspiring to see in our courtyards – our showrooms are always a great day out for home and garden-lovers."

The store is packed with rare designs for the garden, such as vintage benches, bird baths, statues, and sundials alongside an upmarket blend of modern and antique garden furniture.

With the summer weather finally arriving, Worcestershire residents will be thinking about how they can create their own outdoor haven.

Mrs Holloway said: "If space allows, zone off separate sitting and dining areas.

"Or invest in one of our new casual dining sets – a comfortable corner sofa with sociable dining benches, plus a dining table which rises for dinner and goes down to coffee table height for drinks.

"Dress this with cushions and throws, add some pots with some Buxus underpinned by frothy summer planting, hang some pretty garden lighting and perhaps introduce an outdoor rug to make it feel like a proper room."
