‘Look at the Size of It’: Snake Catcher Finds Venomous Snake in Family's Backyard

A venomous red-bellied black snake was caught slithering in a family’s backyard in Sippy Downs, a suburb of the Sunshine Coast Region in Queensland, Australia, footage posted on July 19 shows.

Footage shared to Facebook shows Stuart McKenzie from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 removing the snake from a bush in the yard.

“The couple had seen a dark-colored snake curled up behind their pot plants. I thought it was going to be a carpet python for sure. To my delight it was one of the biggest red-bellies I have caught this season. What a cracking snake!” McKenzie said on the snake catchers’ Facebook page. Credit: Stuart McKenzie via Storyful
