Loose Women was forced to apologise for Brian McFadden's, uh... interesting way of remembering a song name on today's (January 18) show – despite them encouraging him to reveal it. Tsk tsk.

The singer visited the loose ladies to talk all things Dancing on Ice, as well as his brand new solo album, and nearly made it through the show without a slip-up.

Until, that is, Kaye Adams asked Brian to reveal the "really rude way" he remembers the name of the Bugsy Malone track he'll be skating to this weekend.

"I can't even say it because I have a really rude way of saying the name of the song," he insisted, before Kaye told him to just "say it".

"'Big Sam's Fat Slags'," Brian said without skipping a beat. "[But] I think it's called 'Fat Sam's Grand Slam'."

Realising the error of its ways, the programme swiftly apologised to anyone who may have been offended by Brian's unique memorisation technique. We forgive you, guys.

Elsewhere on today's show, Brian also revealed that Gemma Collins is "of course" playing the character of the infamous 'GC'.

Addressing Dancing on Ice's behind-the-rink drama, Brian said: "I love Gemma Collins. The GC is a different story – now she's hard to take.

"The GC is the character she plays when she's a diva, and that's probably the one that people give out about, but Gemma is beautiful."

The former Westlife star went on to admit that he feels "so sorry for Gemma" amid recent press backlash, arguing that she works "so hard" but doesn't get the credit for it.

"She's working so hard, people have no idea," Brian insisted. "She really is."

Dancing on Ice continues Sunday (January 20) at 6pm on ITV. Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm also on ITV.
