Loose Women fans furious as show is replaced by the Budget

Some things are certain in life: death, taxes and that Loose Women will air at 12:30pm on weekdays – when it is not taking a little break.

But fans of the popular panel show were left devastated today after switching over to ITV this lunchtime only to find the four Loose ladies replaced by a load of MPs listening to Philip Hammond deliver his autumn Budget.

Needless to say, they were less than impressed with the sight replacing the likes of Loose Women favourites Katie Price, Andrea McLean and Coleen Nolan – and took to Twitter in their droves to express their displeasure.

One Twitter user wrote: “As a kid I hated The Budget, because they took children’s tv shows off. As an adult I’m still furious…NO LOOSE WOMEN!!! #Budget2017 (sic)”

Another posted: “No #loosewomen today cos of the poxy budget, nobody wants to watch this s**t, you’ll find out how you’ve been affected later on in the Off Licence ffs #budget2017 (sic)”

One Loose Women fan tweeted: “is it bad that part of me is sad that The Chancellor’s Budget is on instead of Loose Women ?? (sic)”

Another wrote: “What is this budget s**t on ITV ?? I’m 10 minutes behind so it’s not on yet but why is loose women not on ? (sic)”

One tweeted: “I would much rather watch @loosewomen than the budget (sic)”

But not all Twitter users were disappointed to see the lunchtime show axed for the day.

One wrote: “Hooray! No #LooseWomen because of the budget! #ThisMorning (sic)”

A tweet on the Loose Women Twitter account reminded fans earlier in the day that the show will not air at 12:30pm as usual because of the Budget.

They wrote: “A neighbourly reminder: It’s Budget Day which means we’re off air today – but we’ll be back tomorrow (sic)”

In March, Loose Women fans were furious after the show was axed for four days and replaced by the Cheltenham Festival horse racing on ITV.

One fan posted: “Very upset over the lack of @loosewomen for this week now. I’m distressed with what I should be doing today? (sic)”
