Loose Women's Denise Welch hits out at 'complete lie' after accusations of rift with ITV star

Denise Welch has hit out at reports of a 'feud' between her and Loose Women co-star Stacey Solomon, after reports that the former X Factor star was 'refusing to work' with her after a disagreement on the talk show.

Geordie actress Denise has been one of the main panellists on the ITV programme for the best part of 20 years, with Stacey joining the Loose Women ranks for the first time in 2016. Over the last few years, singer and crafting and home decor expert Stacey has made only fleeting appearances on the show, with one of those coming last month, when the topic of how younger people's work ethic had apparently changed after the Covid pandemic.

While Denise and Stacey did express different views, their clash didn't escalate into anything angry between the pair, but that didn't stop reports of a 'fall out' with it since being alleged that Stacey had decided she would no longer sit on the same panel as Denise.

Having been left annoyed by the claims and addressed them on her Instagram story, Denise has again denied any tension between herself and Stacey during a guest appearance on Scheananigans, the hit podcast hosted by American TV personality Scheana Shay, star of Vanderpump Rules.

Dismissing the speculation, Denise told Scheana: "We had a discussion on a discussion show, where you're supposed to discuss things and maybe disagree. We disagreed on something, it was about young people and work ethic and since Covid, have Gen-Z become a bit more lazy and entitled, it was one of those kind of Loose Women topics."

Hitting back at any talk of bad blood, the ex Coronation Street star, who read comments that Stacey had 'wiped the floor' with her, then added: "We're encouraged to disagree about things, it's a talk show."
