Looters Storm Shopping Center Amid Unrest in Paris Suburb

Several stores were looted inside a shopping center in the Paris suburb of the Creteil on Friday, June 30, amid nationwide unrest sparked by the police shooting of a 17-year-old male during a traffic stop on Tuesday, French media reported

This footage shows a crowd rushing into the shopping center, which is located in the Val-de-Marne department.

At least 15 people were arrested, according to Le Parisien and France Bleu

Businesses at the Rosny 2 shopping center in Seine-Saint-Denis, in the northeast suburbs of Paris, were also attacked by rioters, footage posted online showed.

On Friday morning, Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo and other local officials attended crisis talks to address the ongoing violence.

On Thursday night, more than 650 arrests were made across France, according to Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin.
