Lorraine viewers have been speculating that the show's host could have been the latest victim of Ant and Dec's earpiece challenge after some odd behaviour.

In Monday morning's show, Lorraine Kelly started her interview with YouTuber KSI by flapping at her face and complaining that there was a fly in the studio, before yawning her way through their chat.

Early in the interview, she stood up, complaining: "I've got a wee bit of cramp in my leg, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

"Poppycock, that's what it is."

Kelly also told KSI that there was a mouse running around the studio and peppered the segment with odd phrases, including "don't mug me off", "totes emosh", and "pure ragin'".

She described KSI's en suite bathroom, just visible on the call, as "magnifico" and broke into song while asking him whether he had to wear an "annoying" bum bag like she did when going out for a run.

Fans of the show thought that Kelly might have been taking part in Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway segment I'm A Celebrity, Get Out Of Me Ear, where they control famous people's chats through giving them instructions by earpiece.

Later in the show, Kelly acknowledged that it had been a strange morning, adding "all will become clear in the fullness of time".

It seems that she wasn't the only ITV daytime star to be targeted by the Geordie duo, as their good pal Holly Willoughby was also behaving oddly during This Morning.

As James Martin began the cooking segment, Willoughby asked him whether it was true that shiitake mushroom powder should be used in choux buns, leaving him looking baffled.

She then began trying to walk off a cramp in her leg, just like Kelly, before co-host Phillip Schofield asked whether he had just heard her stomach rumbling.

Willoughby also struggled to talk with her mouth full of choux bun after Martin had finished cooking.

Viewers will be able to find out whether their suspicions were correct when they tune in to Saturday Night Takeaway.
