Lorraine Kelly scolded by pregnant daughter Rosie as she gushes over baby items on shopping haul

Lorraine Kelly struggled to contain her excitement as she was seen picking out new clothes for her future grandchild with her pregnant daughter Rosie.

The beloved Scots TV presenter and expectant mum-to-be booked a special appointment with Mamas and Papas to help them sort everything they need ahead of the tot's arrival in September.

News of Rosie's pregnancy first broke in April with the 30-year-old later revealing she was expecting a baby girl in an emotional gender reveal video with her famous mum and her adorable sausage dog, Ruby.

Lorraine and Rosie share a close bond so it was no surprise they decided to go out baby shopping together as they looked at everything from cots and buggies to changing stations with staff's help.

However, out of the two of them it seemed to be Lorraine who could not keep her cool as she buzzed around the shop, gushing over all the adorable items on offer as she gets ready to become a grandmother for the first time.

Mum-to-be Rosie, who is expecting her first child with her fiancé Steve White, had to scold her mum and remind her to not lose her focus as they walked around the store.

Rosie said: "You need to control yourself!" while Lorraine, 64, got emotional looking at prams as she said: "There will be a wee person in here!"

In the footage shared to Mama and Papa's Instagram page, the Lorraine presenter was also seen picking up a white tutu as she cried out: "That is so cute!"

Mama and Papa's took to social media to share a video of Lorraine and Rosie's day out, using their special services appointment.

The UK based brand, who specialises in baby furniture, uploaded the footage alongside the caption: "The countdown is on… Soon-to-be grandparent @lorrainekellysmith and mum-to-be @rosiekellysmith let us come along and join them for their Buying For Baby appointment down at our White City Westfield store. "From picking out their perfect travel system to designing their dream nursery, Lorraine & Rosie are now fully prepared for the arrival of Rosie’s little one!"

After their shopping haul, Rosie said she was feeling very "relieved" and "reassured" with Lorraine chiming in "I do as well."

Lorraine added: "I feel as if we know what we're doing" with Rosie replying: "We've picked everything out now. It's done."

The ITV host replied: "Yeah that's it, that's it. Shall we go for a cup of tea?" before she's seen wandering off again and says "I'll just have a wee look at this though" as the footage dies out.

Lorraine has been very open about her excitement at becoming a grandmother since Rosie's news first hit the headlines.

At the time, she said: "THE most exciting thing to have ever happened in our family! Cannot wait to be a granny and so proud of Rosie and her Steve. It’s the best news EVER."

Rosie and Steve now just have weeks to go until their welcome baby girl into the world in September.
