What, how and why?

Speaking openly on her show, Kelly told the viewers at home: "I'm the worst cook in the world and even I could do that!"

Kelly was discussing Beckham's latest cooking venture with showbiz correspondent Lucie Cave on her daytime ITV show. Cave introduced the topic as she said people could now try Beckham's cooking for themselves via Uber Eats.

The showbiz correspondent reminded everyone that Beckham had been mocked for making a breakfast sandwich on American TV in 2021. Kelly responded sarcastically: "What an effort."

Presented with the sandwich, the TV presenter refused to try it when asked by her co-star, "Do you want to taste it." Kelly had bluntly replied with a "no".

"It's not made by him though," Cave explained but her explanation surprised Kelly. Kelly was less than impressed with this news though as she questioned what was the point of the partnership on UberEats when he wasn't making himself.

"Oh shut up!" Kelly exclaimed. "What's the point of that? What is the point of that? It's supposed to be his."

The TV presenter agreed you couldn't go wrong with a breakfast-themed sandwich but she insisted that she was the "worst cook in the world" and that even she could cook that.

Brooklyn's menu is available for a two-night delivery on 25 and 26 January between 5-10pm. People can choose from five dishes that starting price of £10, including: English Breakfast Sandwich, Chicken Tikka Masala and Wagyu Bolognese.

At the time of the news, he said in a statement: "My Nanny Peggy taught me how to make her English Breakfast sandwich when I was 5, and it’s been my favourite ever since. I’ve always been into trying different foods, cuisines, and cultures, but that was one of my earliest memories of loving cooking.

"Spending time in the kitchen is definitely something me and my dad bond over… Even though I think I make my English Breakfast sandwich better, he does make a pretty good one!"

Matthew Price, general manager UK, Ireland and Northern Europe at Uber Eats, celebrated Beckham as "one of the world's most talked about foodies". He added: "Uber Eats hosts is all about creating unique food experiences on the Uber Eats app. We’re excited to be working with one of the world’s most talked about foodies adding to the wide breadth of culinary talent already available on Uber Eats."

Beckham has previously opened up about his change of careers over the years. He previously told The Evening Standard: "I started doing football and I love that, then went into photography, which I am still in love with and now I do cooking."

He added: "I've always been into trying new food, even if it is sometimes a bit not that great. I remember trying jellied eels because I’ve always liked pie and mash — and I did not like them at all."
