Lorraine Kelly's daughter shares adorable baby update as she nears due date

Lorraine Kelly has given fans a touching update on her soon-to-be grandmother status. Posting a heartwarming video of her pregnant daughter Rosie Smith, the Scots TV icon is "beyond excited".

The video, shared to Instagram, gave an insight into Rosie's preparations for her new arrival. The clip featured an excited Rosie browsing through endearing baby clothes, including a cosy cardigan and adorable floral rompers, while caressing her bump.

Lorraine, 64, couldn’t hide her delight as she re-shared the footage from Rosie's account on her own social media page, captioning it: "This is so gorgeous - getting close now - beyond excited!"

The comments section soon flooded with well-wishes from Lorraine's pals and famous friends, the Daily Star reports. Vanessa Feltz, fellow TV star, gleefully commented: "So excited for you all."

Fans also joined in, with one saying: "How exciting." Another conveyed their own grandparenting experience: "A Grandchild is another level of love again. I'm a Grammy too. So excited for you all." One more fan voiced their joy by writing: "Beautiful. So exciting for you all!"

Rosie, aged 30, previously unveiled her pregnancy back in April with a stunning Instagram snap showcasing her growing bump. In her exciting announcement, she added: "We could not be more excited - you're already so loved little one."

She also shared a peek at the ultrasound, with the caption: "The bean at 12 weeks the size of a fig." Lorraine herself couldn't contain her joy, having previously expressed: "THE most exciting thing to have ever happened in our family! Cannot wait to be a granny and so proud of Rosie and her Steve. It's the best news EVER!"

The ITV star opened up, saying, "We could not be more excited. You're already so loved little one." It came after Lorraine's heartfelt reaction to Princess Kate's first public outing since her cancer diagnosis was confirmed. She had called the Princess of Wales "absolutely beautiful."

Top of the list was Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis's endearing Father’s Day tribute to Kate's husband, Prince William. After the Royal Family's Trooping the Colour event at Buckingham Palace, a photograph taken by Kate herself was released on Sunday.

During a chat with Russell Myers, Royal Editor for the Daily Mirror, the ITV host commented: "Great to see Princess Catherine out and about. And looking, I have to say, absolutely beautiful. She looked well! I know she's not well, but she did look really stunning."
