A man has been taken to hospital following a lorry crash which saw a section of the A47 close.

The crash happened just before 8am on the Acle Straight near the Halvergate turn-off at Branch Road.

Three vehicles were involved in the collision, including a lorry and two cars.

Three ambulance crews attended the scene and one man was transported to James Paget Hospital for further care.

The eastbound side of the road was closed while police dealt with the incident, but it re-opened just before 10am.

Police were managing traffic via a stop and go system while they awaited recovery of the vehicles.

The scene has now been cleared and fully re-opened.
