The series starts in November
Louis Theroux’s Interviews show is returning for a second series on BBC Two.
The first run of the documentary-maker’s series saw him chatting to the likes of Stormzy and Dame Judi Dench and was a big hit.
And the second series – which starts at 9pm on Tuesday, 7 November – looks set to go down just as well.
This time Theroux will interview Dame Joan Collins, Anthony Joshua, Ashley Walters, Chelsea Manning, Pete Doherty and Raye, six guests who he has said “are all distinctive and brilliant in different ways”.

Speaking when the line-up was announced, he said all were “people who have endured setbacks and huge successes, and who have something to share with the world based on their journeys through life”.
“We have tried to build on the success of the first six Louis Theroux Interviews, while pushing further this time into terrain that is gritty and difficult, exploring subjects like mental health, brushes with the law, and political controversy,” said the TV star.
So who are Theroux’s six new guests, and why are they so interesting?
Anthony Joshua
Theroux’s series sees him putting in some serious miles on the road, with stops including New York and France.
But he keeps things local when he kicks things off with an interview with boxer Joshua, who has twice been named the world heavyweight champion.
The episode will see Theroux join Joshua, 34, at the estate in Watford where he grew up. The pair also get together at the sports star’s local boxing gym in London.
It was filmed as Joshua got ready to take on American boxer Jermaine Franklin in the ring, and according to promo material, “explores his success, set-backs and his sporting motivations”.
Raye
Escapism singer Raye – who scooped a coveted Ivor Novello Award this year – dishes on her departure from Polydor Records and finding new artistic freedom when she sits down with Theroux.
The star, 26, was in the headlines in 2021 when she left the label amid claims she had been prevented from releasing an album, and became an independent artist.
Snippets of her set at Glastonbury may also feature, as Theroux took a trip to the festival in Somerset to see the singer-songwriter when she performed on the Pyramid Stage this year.
Ashley Walters
Theroux travels to Herne Bay in Kent to meet Walters, who first made a splash in rap group So Solid Crew.
Now an established actor with TV shows like The Hidden City, Top Boy and Bulletproof under his belt, Walters will talk about moving from music to acting.
While he is now based in the seaside town, the 41-year-old will open up about growing in Peckham, including run-ins with the police.
It’s an area he has touched on in the past, as he has revealed that he spent time in prison after he was convicted of possession of a converted air pistol.
“For anyone, it would be a big wake-up call to have those jail doors slammed on you,” he told The Guardian last year.
Dame Joan Collins
Theroux heads off to the glamorous French Riviera for his episode with Dynasty legend Collins.
The actor - who turned 90 this year - started in films more than 70 years ago and is something of a screen icon.
She opens up her holiday home near St Tropez for Theroux and also takes him out on the town with her and her husband Percy Gibson.
Their interview will see Collins discussing her career highs and lows, including her turn as catty Alexis in Dynasty, which she starred in from 1981 to 1989.
Chelsea Manning
Theroux jets off to the Big Apple to chat to whistleblower and activist Manning.
The US Army intelligent analyst was jailed in 2010 after being found guilty of charges including espionage for leaking military files to Wikileaks.
Manning, who is transgender, was originally sentenced to 35 years but served seven.
The 35-year-old, now a DJ and public speaker, will no doubt have viewers gripped as she reveals why she made the documents public.
Pete Doherty
Doherty is a favourite with music fans for Babyshambles and the Libertines.
But for a lot of people it’s his relationship with Kate Moss that he’s best known for. He dated the model from 2005 to 2007, with their on-off romance captivating the tabloids.
He meets Theroux in Normandy, where he now lives with his wife and their baby daughter, and talks about music and his turbulent career.
Doherty battled drug addiction in the past and is also set to open up about it to Theroux.
