Louis Tomlinson ‘Spends £3.5k On Son’s Lion-Themed Nursery’

Louis Tomlinson is believed to have spent $5,000 (£3,500) on an animal-themed nursery for his newborn son Freddie.

The One Direction singer apparently visited celebrity-frequented boutique Petit Tresor in West Hollywood with his ex-lover Briana Jungwirth.

Louis, 24, and 23-year-old Briana stocked up on toys and décor in November, months before their child was born on January 21.

A source quoted by E! News said it appeared the couple knew they were expecting a boy as they purchased “adorable blue baby layette items” during their shopping spree.

The insider added: “Their selections were quite European and sophisticated in taste.

“They picked out lots of items with lions on. They bought lion toys, a lion blanket, a lion onesie and a very cute lion hooded towel.

“It might be because the lion symbol is associated with Great Britain and the English soccer team. Perhaps they’re making sure their baby knows about his British roots.”

Among Louis and Briana’s purchases were said to be a Bancroft closed crib priced at $2,995 (£2.078), an $89 (£62) penguin cuddly toy and a Jem + Bea diaper bag for $790 (£548.)

Louis may be hoping Freddie follows in his own musical footsteps, as he and Briana also picked up a mini red piano for $119 (£83.)

The singer – who is renting a property in Calabasas, California – was said to have been “happy” to pay, with the source adding: “He put everything on his credit card and the bill came to just over $5,000. It’s not every day you get someone spending that much in a baby boutique.”

The home in California being funded by Louis’ child support payments

Louis has reportedly agreed to pay £2.1million - £10,000 a month – for the upkeep of his son until he’s aged 18.

More than half the £2.1 million spend will go on the £4,200 a month rent of a four-bedroom house in Calabasas, California, where Briana can live with the little boy.
