Yahoo News Love Is Blind’s Uche on his relationship with Aaliyah post show
Love Is Blind star Uche Okoroha has opened up about his post-show relationship with Aaliyah Cosby.
The pair got together in the fifth season of the Netflix reality show, but their relationship took a turn for the worse as Uche’s previous relationship with co-star Lydia Velez Gonzalez was revealed.
It proved terminal as Aaliyah departed the series before Uche could propose, and a later meet-up ended in tears as he turned down Aaliyah’s suggestion of giving a romance another try.

Uche appeared on the Miss Understood podcast to discuss their post-show antics, revealing that he did not end the relationship despite the impression given in the episode.
“To clarify, I did continue a relationship with her,” he said. "We met up and she apologised for leaving – I apologised for any miscommunication I have.
“We held hands. We shared our first kiss, and we decided to date off cameras. They did invite us back to date as an engaged couple and we said, 'No, we’re going to date off camera'."

Uche also spoke about how the circumstances of their relationship informed his relationship with Aaliyah, adding: “I think I found an incredible person, and I did appreciate our relationship, and I do think it worked in that aspect.”
“I can also see that that environment and being cut off from the rest of the world… might make you force connections that otherwise wouldn’t have necessarily have been as strong in the real world."
