After eight weeks in the villa, Love Island has revealed its winners for the 2023 winter series.

In tonight’s (March 13) final, the remaining four couples – Tom and Samie, Ron and Lana, Shaq and Tanya and Kai and Sanam – battled it out for the crown and the £50k cash prize, with host Maya Jama announcing that Kai and Sanam were the champions.

Upon the announcement of the result, Sanam revealed that she couldn't "believe it", before the pair were mobbed by their fellow Islanders as they celebrated.

Before the result, Kai revealed that Sanam's eyes "blew him away" and that they barely leave each other's side, whilst Sanam began to blush as she accidentally disclosed that she had fallen in love with Kai.

Runner-up Lana revealed that she took a liking to Ron upon their first meeting, saying: "As soon as he opened his mouth, I knew he was the one for me. I just thought he was a cheeky chappie," whilst Ron described Lana as a "little rocket and an angel".

Finishing in third place was Tom and Samie, who had their fair share of ups and downs throughout their time in the villa.

"She means the world to me – we've got so much to experience on the outside," said Tom of their relationship, whilst Samie added that she knew she liked Tom when he went on a date with Claudia.

The first to find out their fate was Shaq and Tanya, who finished in fourth place. "Never in a million years did I think I’d be here – I feel like I’ve already won," said Shaq, with Tanya adding that she was leaving the villa with the "love of her life".

Fans won't have long to wait for the next batch of relationship-seeking singletons, with the show set to return in the summer.
