Yahoo News Love Island, Emmerdale, Drag Race UK and more are up for NTAs
The National Television Awards have announced that Love Island, Emmerdale, Killing Eve and Drag Race UK are among the shows making this year's longlist of nominees.
The biggest night in TV will be coming to the O2 Arena in London on January 28, 2020, with David Walliams taking over from long-time NTAs presenter on the ITV ceremony Dermot O'Leary.
The night will see EastEnders, Hollyoaks and Coronation Street each trying to end Emmerdale's three-year winning streak in the Serial Drama category.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge also has a big night ahead of her, with Fleabag and Killing Eve making the longlists for Best Comedy and Best Drama respectively.
Fleabag will have to fend off the likes of Derry Girls and After Life to take the Comedy Award, while Killing Eve faces stiff competition for Best Drama from Peaky Blinders, Line of Duty, Poldark, Call the Midwife, Victoria and Vera.
In the Best Challenge Show category, Love Island will be pitted against perennial favourite The Great British Bake Off as well as newcomers The Circle and Race Across The World.
Of course, Ant & Dec will also be defending their 18-year winning streak in the TV Presenter category as well. Will this be the year someone finally bests them?
