Reality TV person Olivia Attwood is publicly hitting out at her ex-boyfriend Chris Hughes after he appeared to make comment about their break-up.

Olivia and Chris met and fell in love on Love Island last year but split up earlier this year, so Olivia's trying her hand at finding love on TV all over again by signing up to E4 show Celebs Go Dating.

Only it looks like Chris isn't entirely out of Olivia's mind just yet, as she took to Twitter over the weekend to call her ex 'bitter'.

It all started when Chris commented on fellow Love Island-er Sam Bird's Instagram, following his own break up with Georgia Steele, with a message that many took as a dig at Olivia.

In response, Olivia shared an article about the comment and added: "What in the bitter ex is going on here then," along with a load of laughing emojis.

It didn't take too long for Chris to then see Olivia's tweet, and he later defended himself – while also plugging Olivia's new show, so there's that.

"Hard to work out... So my ex has made digs at me every month since we split; I say ONE thing supporting a friend about deja vu and I'm bitter apparently," he said.

"I think the comments on her tweet justifies it all. some people eyy. Anyway! Celebs go Dating on at 9pm. Tune in."

But Olivia didn't let it lie there, later tweeting to call him 'bitter' once again, and also claiming that she got the CGD gig over him too.

"Christina Hughes, you use my name to promote/bring press to every mind numbing thing you do. You should know by now, that I will always clap back. Now stop being bitterrrrr," Olivia added.

"Also Thanks for the @CelebsGoDating shout out too, very big of you, when everyone knows you were in that office the day before me, asking for the job."

Who needs reality TV shows when all this is playing out in front of us, eh?

Celebs Go Dating airs weeknights at 10pm on E4.
