Love Island's Wes Nelson, Megan Barton Hanson, Josh Denzel and Kaz Crossley faced the wrath of viewers last night after they just gawped at poor Laura Anderson being publicly pied by Jack Fowler, instead of comforting her or pretending not to notice.

Didn't their mums ever tell them that it's rude to stare?!

Yesterday's show saw new Jack being encouraged to find even more happiness with new Islander Laura Crane by Wes and Josh, and finally found the courage to break things off with old Laura.

Fans also branded Wes a snake, not just for persuading new Jack to ditch old Laura, but because when Josh was telling the group about what was about to go down, Wes interrupted and asked – somewhat excitedly (and with a tiny touch of glee?): "[Is he telling Laura] the same thing I did?!"

Other viewers also accused Wes and Megan, and Josh and Kaz of being "smug", while another compared them to actual wheelie bins (and warning, there's strong language ahead).

"Honestly Megan and Wes, Kaz and Josh think they run the villa. Sabotage other couples to reduce competition to cover their own baseless relationships and smirk at their success. I said what I said," a fed-up viewer tweeted.

Another added: "Those girls sat there already knowing Jack's plan and just watched Laura go through that pain. What happened to empathy? Imagine how intimidating that whole gang just sitting there must have seemed to Laura. They were all obviously in on it. Jack's really not a man."

Things could be about to get even worse for Laura as last night's teaser for tonight's episode featured new Jack kissing Laura Crane (with a lot of tongue!). Let's hope old Laura takes Dani Dyer's advice and cracks on with Paul Knops...

Love Island continues tonight (July 18) at 9pm on ITV2.
