Fans accused the couple of faking their relationship in a bid to cash in post Love Island.

The couple have made appearances, featured in an exclusive shoot and interview for OK! and teamed up with Badoo.

Hughes’ Instagram account was trolled after he posted a promo video of himself and Attwood encouraging fans to sign up to the dating app to win a double date with them.

Attwood said they have been “unaffected” by the constant attention and are uninterested in the negative comments.

She said: “We know what we have and we know the score. We’ve been surprisingly unaffected by everything that’s happened, which has impressed me.

“I really couldn’t care what other people think. With Chris and I, you watched us drive each other to insanity, you watched us cry, you can see the passion there – you can’t fake that.

“It is real and we’re not bothered. We know the truth.”
