Yahoo News Love Island reportedly cut 'steamy' scenes between Joey and Grace
A new report claims ITV2 had to cut scenes between Love Island's Joey Essex and Grace Jackson because they were so X-rated. Ooh-err.
If you've been getting your teeth stuck into this year's Love Island, you'll know Joey Essex joined the cast as the first bombshell of the season. Since then, three new Islanders have been thrown into the villa to mix things up, along with the biggest twist to hit the series so far.
Grace, Wil and Tiffany were asked to take an Islander away from the main villa to Casa Amor for a night, ripping them from their current couple. Grace, a 25-year-old from Manchester, picked Joey, who is currently coupled up with Samantha, and the pair immediately hit it off.
They were seen snogging in the pool and commenting on their immediate chemistry - but according to a source at The Sun, things actually got way more NSFW than that, and producers had to choose which scenes to air wisely. "It’s been a long time since we’ve seen chemistry like this on Love Island," the insider said. "We always wanted to bring sex back to the villa but didn’t expect this kind of tension so soon.
“There was genuinely so much footage of Joey and Grace at it in Casa Amor, bosses were spoilt for choice and some scenes had to be left out of the edit. Because they knew each other before, their entire relationship is on fast forward and it’s steamy stuff. Joey can’t keep his hands off her."
Oh yes, and if you didn't already know, Joey and Grace had actually met before the villa, with the pair dating for over a month before Love Island. As MailOnline shared when Grace joined the show, "Joey dated Grace for six weeks and she was less than impressed by the way their relationship ended. There’s definitely some unfinished business between them and she isn’t going to hold back in expressing how she feels in the villa.
"Despite pursuing her, Joey ended up dumping Grace, which left her feeling very confused. She’s drop dead gorgeous, and Joey is bound to regret the way he treated her, not to mention the pressure it’s going to put on his new romance with Samantha."
We can't wait to see how this plays out.
