As is tradition with reality TV shows, tonight's (July 22) Love Island is set to be stung by another twist, meaning that one couple is set to leave the villa immediately.

The fate of the couples lies in the hands of the public, who have been voting for their favourite on-screen pairing. But whose time on the show will come to an abrupt end?

Viewers watching at home tonight will witness a text sent to the contestants, reading: "Islanders please gather around the fire pit immediately", with Dr Alex muttering in response, "Never simple is it? Never simple this place. Never an easy ride."

The medical professional is right to be concerned, as the follow-up message sent from producers states: "Islanders, the public have been voting for their favourite couple. The couple with the fewest votes will be dumped from the island tonight. The safe couples will now be announced in no particular order…"

As heart-thumping moments go, this is bound to send shivers throughout the villa.

Love Island fans are sure to be cheering their favourite couples on (cough Dani and Jack) in front of their TV screens, but this show is just so unpredictable that whatever the result, it's going to be shocking.
