Yahoo News Love Island's Amber denies claims she hooked up with Sam Gowland
Former Love Island winner Amber Davies has hit back at claims by Geordie Shore's Chloe Ferry that she had slept with the latter's ex Sam Gowland.
Chloe took to her Instagram Stories to claim that Amber had slept with Sam a day after his split with the Geordie Shore star in May.
Alleging in the emotional series of clips that she had seen texts, the reality star said: "One day after we broke up, you had sex with her... I looked at the laptop and it's f**king true! He's making me look like a bad person."
However, Amber has since addressed Chloe's claims, writing on Twitter: "Shocked at how people can bite so hard after only knowing one side of a story. Some of the abuse I've had has been heartbreaking! Peace and Love. Always!
"@SamGowland123 and I are friends and only friends. Nothing has ever happened between us. Can't believe I have to tweet this."
Chloe has since hit back, further accusing Amber of "lying" and reiterating her claim that she had the texts, with Amber subsequently released a longer statement on her own Instagram.
"This is the story," Amber wrote. "A couple of months ago the papers contacted Sam and I's management saying they were running a story that we had slept together. We hadn't. And both parties denied the allegations.
"A couple of weeks ago Sam replied to one of my Instagram stories and I ignored him after the whole drama. He then went on to message me saying he hopes the whole situation hadn't ruined our friendship because it was frankly ridiculous.
"It was several months ago when the papers contacted us. It was in fact someone from Chloe's side trying to sell this story in the first place. The last story of mine is facts.
"For Chloe to take to her 3m+ followers... assume, manipulate and take something out of context, even after her and I exchanging messages and me reassuring her that nothing had happened, is shocking."
Chloe then further accused Amber of being a "liar", though Sam has also responded in his Instagram Stories, claiming that Chloe was giving an "award-winning performance" (via The Sun). He also retweeted Amber's initial statement.
