I’m A Celebrity’s Rebekah Vardy broke down over claims that she bullied her fellow campmate Iain Lee during their time in the jungle.

In scenes to be aired in Friday’s Coming Out episode of the ITV show, the reality star was seen being comforted by her father after discovering viewers had accused her of ‘ganging up’ on Lee.

Vardy, who was third to be voted off the series, said: “You know what, I was the one that was being the most supportive of him. A bully? I’ve never been a bully in my whole entire life.”

This year’s season of I’m a Celebrity saw viewers brand Vardy and other celebrity contestants Amir Khan, Dennis Wise and Jamie Lomas ‘bullies’ over their treatment of late arrival Lee.

The comedian became isolated from the group after the ‘strawberrygate’ incident where he and boxer Khan stole a treat of strawberries and cream from the rest of the group.

Khan later convinced the other contestants that the theft had been Lee’s idea, when in fact he had persuaded the TalkRadio host to eat the dessert.

During the reunion episode, the celebrities were shown footage of the incident which proved once and for all that Khan had lied to his campmates.

After viewing the clip first to be eliminated, Shappi Khorsandi said: “Oh Amir, you told us it was all Iain’s idea. Oh Amir, you let Iain take the flack for that.”

Former professional footballer Dennis Wise also had his say over the incident, branding Khan a ‘rascal’.

He said: “Amir! They both encouraged each other but Amir started it by the looks of it. The rascal!”

Jennie McAlpine, who just missed out on being in the final three, shared her theory on how the ‘strawberry-gate’ incident unfolded.

The 33-year-old coronation actress said: “I think Iain’s a nice guy. I like him a lot. It was those b*****

strawberries wasn’t it? As soon as Iain said ‘I ate all those strawberries’ I said, ‘He hasn’t, he is taking all the flack.’ Who ate the first strawberry? Amir.
