Three COVID-19 vaccines have now been authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Vaccines developed by Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) and Moderna (NASDAQ: MRNA) have been available for months, while Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) recently won emergency use authorization for its vaccine. It remains to be seen how effective these vaccines will be against new coronavirus variants that have emerged.
