Married at First Sight star Mel Schilling has showed off her cancer surgery scar in new bikini photos.
The relationship expert was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the end of last year and has since undergone surgery and chemotherapy, all while keeping fans updated on her health.
Six months on from her keyhole surgery, Schilling took to Instagram on Thursday (June 27) to post snaps of her scar in a bikini and shared details of the procedure.

"I recently posted a story showing my *bowel cancer scar* and I had such an incredible response – so I thought I'd give it a moment on the grid," she wrote.
"So many of you were surprised at how SMALL my scar is – it was a keyhole surgery, it took 90 minutes and I was up and walking the next day.
"I'm sharing this here to highlight the fact that the IDEA of bowel cancer does not have to be big and scary. There is no need to ignore your symptoms or avoid talking to your doctor – in fact, the sooner you take action on your symptoms, the less intervention you're likely to need."

The reality star went on to explain that the "serious" disease continues to affect younger people, before sharing a list of signs and symptoms to look out for.
"Yes, bowel cancer is serious business and it's affecting more & more people under 50 ... but if you take immediate & assertive action almost 99% of bowel cancer cases can be treated successfully," she said.
"So, this is your reminder to LISTEN TO YOUR BODY."

Earlier this month, Schilling opened up about her chemotherapy journey, explaining how moments of "energy" and "vibrance" are regularly mixed with bouts of "fatigue" and "discomfort" as her treatment continues.
"Now on cycle 6 of 8, I'm learning how my body responds and finding ways to schedule my work during high energy periods & making the most of rest and self care in between," she wrote on Instagram.
"Learning to rest is a *huge* challenge for me but I'm slowly adapting."
The dating expert, who works on both MAFS Australia and the UK version as well as keeping busy with other engagements, went on to explain the importance of having a team that encourages her to say no from time to time.
