Major Flooding Shuts Down LaGuardia Airport Terminal as Heavy Rain Soaks NYC

Floodwaters inundated parts of New York’s LaGuardia airport on Friday, September 29, shutting down one of its terminals until “further notice,” the airport said.

Footage filmed by Mohammed Abdul Qavi shows flooding around the airport’s terminal A late Friday morning.

On Friday afternoon, Gov Kathy Hochul warned residents that conditions remained “extremely dangerous” as rain continued.
