Major Meadowhall update as exciting new development takes shape

Meadowhall shoppers will be delighted to know work is progressing on an exciting development at the centre.

The new-and-improved Zara shop will open at Meadowhall in the coming months. The popular fashion brand is relocating from its current position at the Sheffield shopping centre to a new home in The Avenue.

This is the newly-renamed area of the centre that is undergoing a major makeover. Zara’s upgraded Meadowhall shop will boast an expanded range across womenswear, menswear and childrenswear, and will include the latest technological innovations from Zara’s integrated online and physical store platform to offer shoppers a more seamless shopping experience.

The current Zara on the upper high street will continue trading until the new store opens its doors. Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, said: “The new Zara opening will be one of the biggest moments for us this year, and it’s fantastic to see the transformation is well underway. There’s a lot of hard work that goes into developing a store of this scale, and it’s certainly not an overnight job – but, with small changes every day, it’s an exciting reminder for us of what’s to come.”

Last year, Meadowhall revealed its ambitions for the Avenue, which includes welcoming a wealth of new brands, with a Frasers concept store and flagship Sports Direct already in the pipeline alongside the expanded Zara.
