A prominent Llandudno hotel has seen a significant price reduction in an effort to secure a buyer. The Marine and County hotels in Llandudno shut down in 2020 when Shearings collapsed.

They reopened in 2021 under the management of Bespoke Hotels - bringing jobs and visitors back to the notable seafront locations. However, last year the hotels were put up for sale with Christie and Co. They both continue to operate as usual.

The Marine Hotel was listed for £5m and remains on the market at that price. But the County has had its asking price significantly reduced. It had been listed for £3.5m. That has now been slashed to £2m, reports North Wales Live.

The County hotel is located at the junction of Queens Road and The Parade. It boasts 104 rooms and a restaurant with 150 covers. It also includes a separate pub with a frontage on Queens Road.

In the listing, Christie and Co stated: "The hotel has good sized public areas, many of which are sea front facing to the promenade beyond. The hotel has a large restaurant with capacity for approximately 150 covers located on the ground floor of the building. We understand that the restaurant has been relatively recently redecorated and re-carpeted. This adjoins the main lounge/bar which has seating for approximately 50 covers and comprises of a number of interlinking spaces.

"In addition to the main hotel bar, there is a separate pub for up to 80 people which has independent access from Queens Road. This is utilised by both residents and non-residents.

In the basement is a large bar and stage area which is licensed for approximately 100. "Bespoke Hotels confirmed "it remains very much business as usual at the hotels".
