Man, 20, dies after single-vehicle Powys accident

Police have confirmed that a 20-year-old man died after a single-vehicle accident on a main road in Powys. Officers are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward after the fatal crash at the weekend.

It happened on the A44 between Llangurig and Sweet Lamb, Powys, between 7.55pm and 8.05pm on Saturday, June 22. A spokesperson for Dyfed Powys Police said that black Honda motorcycle was travelling eastbound towards Llangurig when it left the road.

They added: "Sadly, the rider, a 20-year-old man, died as a result of his injuries." His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The road was closed overnight so accident investigation could be carried out and was reopened by 7am.
