Man, 26, charged with rape of teenager in Gravesend after incident at midnight
A man has been charged with rape after a teenager was seriously sexually assaulted in Gravesend. Officers from Kent Police are currently investigating the incident, which is reported to have happened in Manor Road between midnight and 12.45am on Monday, May 13.
It has been alleged that the 17-year-old girl was walking through the area when she was approached by four men in a car, who she did not know. She later reported that she had been sexually assaulted and raped by one man.
A man has since been arrested and charged following the incident. A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “On May 17 police arrested and later charged Harjeet Singh, aged 26, of Wellington Street, Gravesend, with rape and sexual assault by touching.

“Mr Singh appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Saturday May 18. He has since been remanded pending a further hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on Monday June 17.”
