Man Arrested Over Death Of Native American Girl

A man has been arrested over the death of an 11-year-old girl kidnapped from the Navajo reservation in New Mexico

An FBI spokesman said Tom Begaye, 27, will appear in court later.

His arrest comes just two days after Ashlynne Mike and her 9-year-old brother were abducted.

The children were kidnapped after school near the community of San Juan by a man driving a van who offered them a ride.

The boy was later found walking along a road and told officers the man had taken them both near to Shiprock pinnacle - a landmark on the Navajo Nation.

He was released by the man but the body of his sister was found on Tuesday less than eight miles (13km) south of the landmark.
