Man Charged With Driving Under Influence of Drugs After High-Speed Crash Into Police Station

A man who lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a newly built police station in Arlington Heights, Illinois, was charged with speeding, reckless driving and driving under the influence of drugs on November 16.

The man, named as Sam O Kerlin, was driving at 104 miles per hour when the crash occurred, on November 11, according to local media.

The Daily Herald cited an officer who interviewed Kerlin as saying the suspect had been using cocaine.

The driver was taken to hospital in critical condition but was stabilized, local media said.
