Man charged after 'suspicious death' of woman in Glasgow house

A man has been charged after the 'suspicious death' of a woman at a house in Glasgow.

Officers found a 36-year-old woman seriously injured within a property at Tummel Street, Riddrie, in Glasgow at around 7:40pm on June 27. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault and is now due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, July 1.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police received a report of a woman found seriously injured within a property on Tummel Street, Riddrie, Glasgow, around 7.40pm on Thursday, 27 June, 2024.

"Emergency services attended, however the 36-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."

"A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 1 July, 2024.”
