Man City's next six fixtures compared to Arsenal and Liverpool as Blues go top of Premier League
Manchester City have done what they needed to do against Luton Town this afternoon as they piled on the pressure in the Premier League title race.
The Blues got off to the perfect start at the Etihad Stadium as Erling Haaland attempted a remarkable bicycle kick which deflected in off the unfortunate Daiki Hashioka. While City were in complete control of the first half, they struggled to increase their advantage against the relegation-threatened Hatters.
The game fell into a comfortable lull in the second half but with half an hour to go the Blues added a second as Mateo Kovacic produced a brilliant half-volley to double the advantage and Haaland got his goal with an emphatic penalty. Ross Barkley bagged a consolation less than ten minutes from time but the three-goal advantage returned in the 87th minute as Jeremy Doku weaved his way through the defence to score and Josko Gvardiol added the cherry on top of the cake with a strong strike in stoppage time.

City are in Champions League action on Wednesday when Real Madrid make the trip to the Etihad. That game is evenly poised after a thrilling 3-3 draw in Spain last week. An FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley follows as Pep Guardiola's side aim to keep their double treble dreams alive.
Arsenal are potential semi-final opponents in the Champions League for City and could return to the top of the table with a win over Aston Villa on Sunday while Liverpool, who's Europa League hopes are hanging by a thread after a 3-0 home reverse to Atalanta in midweek, take on Crystal Palace tomorrow.
Arsenal and Liverpool remain in Europe meaning the next few weeks promise to be hectic and decisive as the run-in gathers pace. So, with that being said, the Manchester Evening News has taken a look at how City, the Gunners and Liverpool's fixture list looks over the coming weeks.
