Man dies after being stabbed in broad daylight in southeast London

A man has died after being stabbed in broad daylight in southeast London.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Tellson Avenue in Kidbrooke at 2.40pm on Wednesday afternoon.

Medics from London Ambulance Service also attended, and found a man believed to be in his 20s who had suffered multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to a south London hospital but died at 8.55pm.

There have been no arrests.

Police believe the attack happened in an alleyway.

A crime scene remains in place and the victim's next of kin have been informed.

A formal identification and post-mortem is yet to take place.

The Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command has been informed and enquiries are said to be continuing.
