Man dies after two-vehicle crash near cattle market

A man died following a two-vehicle crash near a cattle market. The incident occurred on the B3130 at Winford, with police responding to reports of a serious crash on the morning of Saturday, June 8.

The collision involved two vehicles on Chew Road around 11.55am. A man in his 70s sustained severe injuries and was immediately taken to hospital.

He sadly passed away on Friday, June 14. His family is currently receiving support from specialist officers.

The road was closed in both directions to allow investigation work to be carried out. Police are now urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information to step forward.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police stated: "Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision, or have dashcam footage.
