Man Digs Up Dad’s Grave To Argue With Corpse

A man has been arrested after he dug up his own dad’s grave so that he could argue with the corpse.

Michael May was caught by police digging up the grave at a cemetery in Sanford, Kentucky, quoting Bible verses as he dug.

When police questioned the 44-year-old, he told them he was simply trying to have an argument with his dead dad.

And instead of feeling any shame for his alleged actions, May later said that he did not think he had done anything wrong.

After his arrest, May told LEX18 that he didn’t belong in jail.

He said: “I didn’t do nothing wrong…

“I see the truth… he [May’s father] needs to be on the ground. Not under it.”

May went on to admit that he might try to dig up his dad’s grave again.

His father died 30 years ago and there are 13 people with the surname at the cemetery in question, although the name of the grave being dug up has not been released.

Police said they were familiar with May and they believe his grave-digging antics are out of character.

He was charged with violating graves, public intoxication and marijuana possession.
