Man fighting for his life after attempted murder in Chelmsford as man arrested

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was found with serious injuries in Chelmsford. Essex Police were called to Charnwood Avenue at around 9pm on Friday, June 7.

At the scene, police found a man in his 20s with serious head injuries. He was taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable, but he has potentially life-threatening injuries.

Yesterday (Sunday, June 9) a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody for questioning and enquiries continue. The force are now appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
