Man Overcome by Mississippi River Rescued by Minneapolis Police

A Minneapolis police officer’s body camera caught a water rescue in the early hours of Thursday, September 22, after heavy rain fell in the area. A man was overcome by the rain-swollen Mississippi River near the I-35 bridge while exploring a storm drain that empties into the river, according to local reports. The man, in his early 20s, was holding onto a rope when first responders arrived.
