Man seriously injured after BMW 'crashes into house'

A man has suffered serious injuries after 'crashing' his BMW into a house in Warwickshire. It happened in Dordon on Saturday (June 15).

Police were called to Browns Lane following reports that a BMW had collided with a house at around 8.30pm. Firefighters from Polesworth and Atherstone also attended.

Paramedics were also called and found that the BMW driver, a man in his 30s, and a second man, believed to be a passenger, had sustained serious injuries. Both were taken to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave.

Nobody in the house was injured. Engineers were called to assess the damage to the property, Warwickshire Police said.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a car that had crashed into a house on Browns Lane on Saturday (June 15). Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene at 8.26pm.

“Crews discovered two patients, both men, and they were treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police added: “Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage can call 101 quoting incident number 303 of June 15.”
