Man and woman found 'murdered' in house after 'concern for welfare' callout

Two people were found dead inside a house after West Midlands Ambulance Service were called out to conduct a concern for welfare check. The man and woman were discovered inside a property on Alpine Drive in Hednesford, Cannock.

Police were called after medics entered the home at around 12.20pm on Tuesday, June 25. It was "obvious" that nothing could be done to save either one of them, a spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

They told BlackCountryLive: "We were called to a concern for welfare at house in Hednesford on Tuesday lunchtime. Two paramedic officers and an ambulance were sent to an address on Alpine Drive.

"After gaining access to the property at just before 12.20pm, paramedics found a man and a woman inside. Sadly, it was immediately obvious that nothing could be done to save them and ambulance staff immediately alerted Staffordshire police."
