Manchester Road shut as girl hit by bus and rushed to hospital

A girl has been rushed to the hospital after being hit by a bus in Bradford.

West Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a person being hit by a bus in Manchester Road at 5.10pm, alongside paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

A girl was hit by the bus on the busy main road and had suffered injuries. The police have not said how serious the injuries are. She was taken to hospital and road closures remain in place, with drivers being advised to find alternate routes.

A force spokesman said: "Police were called at 5.10pm (May 2) to reports of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian on Manchester Road, Bradford. Emergency services including ambulance attended the scene.

"A girl has been injured as a result of the collision and has been taken to hospital for treatment. Road closures are currently in place and road users are advised to seek alternative routes."
