Liverpool winger Luis Diaz continues to face speculation over his future at Anfield with frequent links with a move to Barcelona.

The Spanish giants are continuously mooted with interest in the Colombian after an impressive two years on Merseyside. Diaz has been an eye-catching addition to the Reds arsenal and popped up with vital contributions during Jurgen Klopp's final season in charge at Anfield.

Diaz is currently in action for Colombia at the Copa America, held in the USA, but speculation continues to be rife over whether he will remain in the English top-flight as he enters the final two years of his current deal. Interest from Spain isn't a surprise following numerous reports in recent years, as well as Liverpool winning the race to sign him from FC Porto after interest from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

Diaz's father has spoken openly about his son's adulation for the Camp Nou club and last month, the ECHO reported that even some around the club's training ground have openly discussed the prospect of losing the 27-year-old this summer.

"The truth is that I know very little about Barcelona at the moment," Diaz snr told Win Sport back in November. "It is true that Luis is a loyal Barcelona fan and it would be his dream to go there. So far I would like to thank Porto and Liverpool for the way they welcomed him and received him.

"Luis is a player who finds it easy to win [fans] over because of the way he is, because of his humility, his work, his dedication. He is a very disciplined player, thank God. There would be no problem if Luis came to Barcelona because it is a top team and one of the best in the world."

Despite Hansi Flick only taking over from Xavi, Barcelona have been frequently linked with attackers across Europe. Spanish outlet Sport has now claimed that Manchester United's Jadon Sancho is a player that the German admires.

The England international has endured a difficult time in the Premier League with United after falling out of favour with Erik ten Hag before returning to Borussia Dortmund on loan. The outlet has claimed that Barcelona have been offered the attacker but have been deterred by the €60million (£50.6m) asking price. It is claimed the door for a loan is open, which could be explored in the coming weeks as they refine their shortlist.
