Manchester United have reportedly received a bid from Juventus for Mason Greenwood.

The 22-year-old enjoyed a season-long loan spell at Getafe which came after a period without playing for United following his charge by Greater Manchester Police with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault. All charges against the player were eventually dropped and he consequently made the move to Spain.

With 12 months left on his current deal at Old Trafford, United are likely to cash in this summer. Although Juventus are said to be leading the race and are in talks with United, Napoli and Atletico Madrid are also eyeing a move.

According to Metro, Juve have made an offer in the region of £40million for Greenwood. The report adds that the forward has 'already agreed personal terms' and has said 'yes' to the Italian giants. Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano claims that a loan with an obligation to buy is also a possibility.

Elsewhere, The Telegraph suggest that United are 'considering' triggering Joshua Zirkzee's £34m (€40m) release clause. The club hold a strong interest in the Bologna striker but face stiff competition with AC Milan and Juve also keen admirers.

United have been left short of attacking options following the exit of Anthony Martial with Rasmus Hojlund the only senior striker. Zirkzee is thought not be the only striker on the list however, with Ivan Toney and Jonathan David also linked.

However, it is claimed that Bayern could complicate the situation if they decide to exercise a buyback clause they had inserted when he was sold to Bologna in 2022. The report also suggests that the Red Devils are unable to spend big this summer and are thought to have a budget of around £50m, therefore outgoings will have an impact on the number of players they can sign.

Erik ten Hag is understood to want to sign a centre-half, a midfielder and a striker.
