Manhunt launched after Middlesbrough pub attack which saw man hit by glass and woman punched in face

A man is being sought by police following an alleged pub attack which saw a man hit with a glass and a woman punched in the face.

Cleveland Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to following an alleged incident on Thursday, March 21. The force confirmed a 44-year-old man suffered a head injury requiring stitches when he was hit with a glass and a 33-year-old woman suffered extensive bruising when she was punched in the face.

The alleged assaults took place at the Pig Iron Public House on Corporation Road, Middlesbrough, at around 8.15pm. The force said following the incident, a man fled the scene and made off past The Central Pub.

A police spokesperson said: "The man in the image is described as white male, average build, possibly aged in his 30’s, around 5ft 10ins tall, with dark, short hair and a face mask under his chin (not facial hair), wearing a light blue tracksuit and carrying a black hold all/duffle bag."
